Optimum is delighted to announce it has been shortlisted for the Growing Business Award at this year’s Red Rose Awards.

Organised by Lancashire Business View Magazine and sponsored by Barclays and Forbes Solicitors, the Growing Business Award was open to any Lancashire business that could demonstrate 20% growth or more in the previous financial year.

The Red Rose Awards is a leading annual event for the Lancashire business community and celebrates commerce and industry successes from across the county. The aim of the awards is to provide a platform to promote accomplishments and to encourage inter-trading.

Paul Bailey, Managing Director of Optimum, said: “Optimum had a phenomenal 2015 with our sales turnover up by 79%. We’ve also recently invested £450,000 in a new production line facility that will increase the company’s production capacity and create new jobs in the laboratory. So it seemed like the perfect time to submit an entry for the Growing Business Award.

“Some of the businesses that have also been shortlisted are considerably larger than Optimum, so being recognised by the Red Rose Awards is a particular honour and the entire team is very excited.”

The Red Rose Awards are judged by a panel of independent business experts and sponsors. The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony held at the Winter Gardens on the 10th March.

Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View, said: “The entries we received this year were stronger than ever, and many businesses across this great county are recording excellent performances.”

John Stanworth, Director of Business and Corporate at Barclays, added: “The calibre of entries this year has surpassed our expectations, so the finalists should be incredibly proud that they have made it to this stage.”
